Written & Skills Testing
Skaters are REQUIRED to complete a written test, skills test, and speed test to be eligible for your level (L1, L2, or L3) in roller derby for the purpose of rostering for bouts. Skaters are encouraged to test for the highest level they believe they can achieve, and you can only skate in bouts and other events of a level that you qualify for, but just because you qualify at a certain level does not mean you are guaranteed to play/practice with or at that level -- that is a coaching determination.
Level 1 (L1)L1 is for brand new skaters still learning the rules and skating skills for roller derby.

IMPORTANT!
After reading the rules and potentially solving the answer to a question on the written study guides, CONFIRM your answers with Operations Director, Trudy Hudson, so that you can certain you are studying from a correct guide. You don't want to study the wrong answers, thinking they are right, get every question "correct" based on what you studied, only to learn you didn't pass.
